1. Grace introduces both the girl, and the boy by using thematic elements to represent both the boy, the girl, and the passage of time.  As the song progresses the two interact, sharing both in positive and negative experiences. Through all the chaos, and the beauty, times theme continues onward, reminding us that no matter what happens, time always moves forward, and there is always a resolution.

2. Simplicity describes the girl, in both her beauty, and in her own inner turmoil.  It follows her and expresses her thoughts and emotions, her experiences with the boy who is determined to capture her heart. Eventually her spirits lift, and the simplicity of her character soars through the music, ending with a strong positive note.

3. Love's Depart signifies the boys state of mind.  In any pursuit of love comes the risk of heart break.  With this song the boy's heart has been shattered by the girl.  Leaving only a trail of bitter and twisted pieces.  It ends with the bitterness dripping away and only sorrow remaining.

4. Journey Beyond is the final chapter of the story.  It's upbeat tempo and syncopated rhythms propel the boy and the girl onward through the hard times, traveling beyond the problems and heart aches, leaving them only with the new adventure that awaits the both of them together.  While it marks the end of the story, it's only the beginning of a new one.

Note: While not all four pieces were written consecutively, they all contribute to a story of love. It was inspired by a tale of a young dreamer who fell in love with a beautiful girl, one who left a trail of many broken hearts behind her.
